Use P90X to Fight Obesity

by Jesse

I want to talk to you about the “biggest” issue that we are facing in this country. It is the massive epidemic of obesity. Go anywhere now and you will see that people are getting fatter and fatter, and the scary thing is that it is becoming culturally acceptable to be fat. It really is no surprise when you see all the fast food ads, and the food brainwashing that we get here in America.

Did you know that 1 in 9 Americas are not only obese but they are severely obese? That means that they are 100lbs overweight. Obesity is now the leading cause of death in America and it costs our health care system around 100 Billion Dollars a year! How sad is that, it costs that much money for something that is nearly 100% preventable? That is why is why I am on a mission to help as many people as I can get in the best shape of their lives.

What I have found with a lot of people is that starting out is the toughest part. For most they feel like it will be some massive obstacle or some huge hill they will have to climb. Nothing could be farther from the truth. The hardest step is the first one. Here is a list of 8 steps you can take to stay motivated to get in shape.

1. Write down your goals—I cannot stress this enough how important it is to know exactly what you want to accomplish with your fitness goals. Write them down and read them every single day. Even better, share them with a friend or family member to have them keep you in check.

2. Take your before pictures and measurements—This is very important because then you can see how far you have come. I can tell you from personal experience that I am very happy that I took my before photo’s. I know I will never let myself go like that again, but it also shows that I have some credibility.

3. Workout with friends or join groups— It is very important that you surround yourself with other people that have the similar goals as you. It is a fact if you are around a bunch of lazy people, you will likely be lazy too. So start to network with people that active and enjoyable to be around.

4. Know your why—You have to know your “why” for your reasons to be getting in the best shape of your life. By knowing what your “why” is you will stay way more committed to working out and knowing what it takes to make a huge difference.
